My name is Nicole and I set to create Rosie Blooms in 2024, I have been a mental health nurse for nearly 20 years, a career which has taught me so much about people, life and the ups and downs of it. We live in a world that can be so badly affected by stress, anxiety and sadness and when faced with difficult times, I’ve learnt that it really is about how to approach these challenging moments.

I have always loved flowers and have said for many years that I wanted to be a florist however never quite had the courage to follow this, until sadly my Mum, Rose passed away in December 2023 after a long battle with cancer. My Mum showed me the true meaning of courage, with her unwavering positive attitude and determined approach to beat her illness. In my grief it got me thinking – surely I can find the courage to do something I loved!!!

I retrained as a florist in the early part of 2024 and launched Rosie Blooms on Mothers Day, it seemed to me to be the best day to launch my new venture which is entirely about being positive in a challenging situation. The first Mother’s Day without my Mum could have been a terribly difficult day but instead I filled it with my love for flowers and a desire to share it with my friends and family.

Before I knew it I had 15 pre orders for bouquets and I held a pop up shop where I completely sold out, in total selling over 45 bouquets for Mother’s Day 2024. Since then I have continued to be very busy, and gratefully received orders for my flowers every week. I am also still a mental health nurse…….
